It was there I realized that great design isn't just about how a home looks. It's about creating a place that supports the moments, milestones, and everyday memories that matter most.
Today, I bring that same philosophy to every project, pairing thoughtful design with a clear, organized process to create spaces that elevate everyday living.

Long before Murphy Lane Interiors existed, there was Life on Murphy Lane, a passion project blog I started after my husband and I purchased our first home on a quiet street named Murphy Lane. For the first time, I had a place to truly make my own. I spent evenings and weekends tackling DIY renovations, sharing the journey online, and discovering just how much I loved transforming a house into a home.
What started as a creative outlet quickly became something much bigger. I found myself constantly sketching ideas, researching floor plans, studying finishes, and noticing the little details that make a home feel welcoming and well-loved. The more I learned, the more I realized interior design wasn't just something I enjoyed, it was how I naturally saw the world.
Although I had built a career in marketing, interior design never stopped calling me. I found myself helping friends and family with their homes, studying design in my spare time, and imagining what it might look like to turn that passion into something more. Still, making a career change felt daunting, so for years it remained a dream quietly waiting in the background.

Founder & Principal Designer
After becoming a mother, that dream took on a new meaning. I realized that if I wanted to encourage my son to chase his biggest dreams, I needed to have the courage to chase my own. So I immersed myself in learning: taking courses, studying design principles, mastering 3D modeling, apprenticing with experienced designers. What began as a passion slowly became a profession, and Murphy Lane Interiors was born.
Today, my mission is simple: to create homes that are just as beautiful, welcoming, and intentional as the lives unfolding within them.
I also believe that creating your dream home should be an experience you enjoy. Whether you're building new or renovating old, you've worked hard for this! Through thoughtful planning, organized communication, and a collaborative approach, my goal is to make the journey every bit as rewarding as the home we create together.
