I’m Makenzie, founder and principal designer of Murphy Lane Interiors. My love for design first took shape in my own home on Murphy Lane, where creating a space that truly felt like mine sparked a deeper appreciation for the role our homes play in the way we live.
As my own life evolved, so did my perspective on home. I began to see our homes as the backdrop to so many of life’s most meaningful moments. Christmas mornings. The first steps of little feet. Even the ordinary Tuesday nights that somehow become the memories we look back on years later.
That perspective still shapes the way I design today.

I believe our homes should authentically reflect who we are, support the way we live, and make room for all of the ordinary and extraordinary moments that happen within them. My role as a designer is to understand the people behind the project and bring the creative vision and expertise to translate that into a home that feels distinctly theirs.
